On Tuesday, Northeast Middle and High School held a Veterans Day assembly to honor the brave men, and women who have fought for our country. This years speaker was Jon Aytes, who is a Marine veteran who served on active duty for over 30 years. Jon went to flight school in Pensacola, getting his flight officer wings, before flying with active duty squadrons including off of an aircraft carrier. Several other tours of duty followed, so he and his family moved all over the US and overseas to Germany. Jon graduated from the US Naval Academy, and the Colorado School of Mines. He and his wife, Lisa, completed move number 16 , and now that they are in Iowa.

💙 Thank You, Northeast Community! 💙
We are so grateful for your support in passing the bond! Your belief in our students, staff, and school means the world to us. Thanks to you, our students will have safe, welcoming spaces where they can learn, grow, and reach their full potential.
This bond isn’t just an investment in buildings — it’s an investment in our students and the future of our community.
Thank you for voting YES on November 4th!!!

Northeast Middle and High School just kicked off their food drive . Northeast will be competing against Dewitt and Cal-Wheat for who can bring in the most "weight" of food donations per student. The food drive will go from the 4th until the 20th of this month. All food donations will go to the Elvira Food Pantry, meaning all donations will stay within our community. Northeast did win this competition last year, and Mrs. Shannon's 6th grade WINN did bring in the most weight of food. Let's go back to back Rebels!

Bond Vote 2025 The project will cost $13.5 million and will be paid for using a general obligation bond. Bonds are like a low interest loan that the district pays off using revenue generated from property taxes. The district used a bond to pay for the gym and science room addition and is proposing extending that debt to pay for these updates.
